General FIAT Cinquecento Sport(ing) from 1996

Hi,

I have a Cinquecento Sport(ing) from 1996 which I can't keep any longer. I also don't have space to store it for some years.

Is this car going to get valued somewhere in the future? Or is it better to just sell it for dismantling?

Cars do go up in value as they age and become less common. However, that could well be decade or more away in the future.

If you've got nowhere to keep the car for the next 20 years, I would say that you may as well sell it and get whatever you can for it.

If the car's in good condition it'd be a real shame to break it just because you don't have anywhere to store it. I doubt it's the kind of thing that'll ever be worth investing in a secure lockup for, so I'd say sell it as is.

I have paid for storage for many years and it is simply not worth it.

Sell car complete to someone or for spares.

I'm trying to sell it but it's hard to get 500 EUR for it. And for dismantling, they offer up to 200 EUR. It's a pity.

200 for breaking is great. In ireland €40 without tires even less with them

If you can't get 500 ask for 400
Anything more than 200 is good.

Thanks for the value references. It's good to have a reference since I'm now considering some offers.

I think that before dismantling they sell its parts. Like a yard where you can go in and dismantle any part and they sell it according to its weight.

I don't think they go directly for breaking. But I'm not sure.

Recently, there were some incentives for giving the vehicle for dismantling/breaking in exchange for a new car or even in the form of money which you could use for public transportation or whatever. But these are now terminating. You only get an incentive for buying a new car now and the value is lower than before.
