Ok... I know this has been discussed here few times, but I still cant find the reason why the passenger side footwell and footwell behind gets soaked wet when rains.

There is a leak somewhere behind the ceiling on the passenger side corner. I removed the makeup mirror, pulled down the ceiling 'mat' but cant find where the water is coming from. The left corner between the passenger handle and the mirror is wet and looks horrible now with white and black stains. Looking inside above the ceiling I can see all the draining pipes and wiring but if I pour water around the wells in the sunroof I cant see it leaking anywhere, all stays dry. The water just comes in somewhere when it rains.

Sadly dont have a garage etc.. would be too big job to remove the whole ceiling thing.
Any ideas what next?
- I have tried clean the engine bay drain ends etc.
Thanks

I have the same problem on my bravo, and even with absolutely NO interior i cant find it still!! Will let you know when I find it, I would hazard a guess we both have the same problem

Tricky to find leaks sometimes.
logic would be, sunroof, ariel, poor seal at top of window screen.

We used to use talcum powder to coat the surrounding areas to find leaks..

Common fault on the Bravo, the sealant that holds the sunroof frame together lets go over time and as water always does it seems to find its way in.

A temporary fix, if your not going to be using the sunroof is to rub vaseline or similar around the gap on the sunroof. This will prevent water getting even into the car.

A permanent fix is to take a day to take the sunroof out, clean it throughly then use metholated spirits to wipe away any greasey finger marks off it and with a silicon gun start generously glueing up the whole sunroof frame especially in the gaps. Use your fingers and rub it in. Leave to dry and then refit.

However the seal around the aerial can let water in. But its usually the sunroof.

definately very common. finding a bravo or brava in a scrapyard that doesnt have water marks and/or mould on the headlining behind the visors is harder than you'd think.

:yeahthat:

dont be shy, do a good job the first time and if you wont have to do it again an 2nd or 3rd time (like i did :bang:)
