I went out in the OH's Bravo a few days ago and I always press the sport button as a matter of habit.

Usually when driving, holding your foot still on the accelerator at any given RPM, when you press the sport button the car accelerates slightly as the throttle response is sharpened, however, I tried it several times and nothing happened.

I know this system is common on the sportier Fiats, does anyone have any experience of what may have failed and how to fix it? I don't think there is a leak in any of the turbo pipes as there is no real loss of power with sport turned off.

Any ideas/help much appreciated.

That's not how it works.
Throttle response = how it behaves between two throttle positions.
Throttle response is sharpened that mean that it looses a bit of economy by moving the throttle faster and injecting fuel faster, adding more timing..etc.

Also while on Sport Mode the ecu allows some overboost ..more turbo pressure => more torque/power... but since there is also some turbo lag, it might take some time to get that effect or more exactly it might not be noticeable at steady throttle where boost is not going to increase for mo reason.

Drive another slower less powerfull car for a few hundred miles, after that i assure you you will feel the sport mode again.

I have driven many miles in the Bravo plus I have had a Punto Abarth and various Alfas with the DNA system , they have all behaved in the same manor when the sport button is pressed. i.e. A notable difference with the throttle.

Driving different cars is not the issue as I drive lots of different cars throughout the week with work. The problem is that there is no difference to the feel of the car when the button is pressed which there used to be.
