Ok so this car has a very very long story so i will try to keep it as short as possible and provide the needed details. Long story short the car came in with a bad ecu and the key code was showing on the dash. We replaced the ecu and the car started fine but the variator was doing the signature knock but the car was idling fine. We sent it of to replace the variator. Now the variator sound is gone but the car is having a very rough idle.
Here is what we know so far:
-the car starts very hard and we need to press the gas pedal for it wo start
- it seems that it is having a rough mixture since the spark plugs are getting dark
-fuel pump is relatively new
-intake was checked for leaks and it passed
-Camshaft sensor was replaced
-the car does have an exhaust leak.
-the choke was checked and it seems to be working fine.
-throttle was cleaned
-Timing was checked again
-Fuel injectors were cleaned and tested
-2 another ecu was installed

All those were done and the car is still the same. Anyone has an idea of anything else that we can check?

What I'd do is:
- check timing one more time
- check for DTC-s in ECU
- choke all vacuum lines one at a time, to see if there will be any changes
- measure fuel pressure at the ramp, should be 3.5bar
- replace O2 (lambda) sensor just in case.

Ignition coils failure, or jet failure
 
Falla de las bobinas de encendido o falla del jet
Desconecte los inyectores, uno a la vez, hasta que identifique qué cilindro está defectuoso. Si localiza el cilindro defectuoso y cambia la ubicación de la bobina, descubrirá si la falla es de la bobina o del inyector. suponemos que la instalación hasta inyectores y bobinas está bien

Disconnect the injectors, one at a time, until you identify which cylinder is defective. If you locate the faulty cylinder and change the location of the coil, you will find out if the fault is with the coil or the injector. we assume the installation up to injectors and coils is ok
