600 (Classic) Fiat 600D

Introduction

Just found your Forum 6 years after buying my 1964 Fiat 600D!
Thought you might like to see the attached photos.
I am only the third owner. The car was converted and restored by Middle Barton Garage. Autobianchi A112 70hp engine : Fiat 850 front discs : Spax adjustable shox : front radiator : larger section rear tyres to improve gearing. Just returned from the Le Man Classic where the car did 700 miles with no problems. Really needs a 5 speed gearbox as gearing at the moment gives 100 mph at 6000rpm. Can get a little noisy but okay wearing motorcycle earplugs!
Featured in Autoitalia magazine December 2015.

Nice. I have a 1966 600E[Argentine] with a 903cc engine, original 600 radiator plus one up front, electric fan, disk front brakes. PO painted it red with the flag on top, added Chromadora wheels and some Abarth and 850TC badges[I would have left it the original color like "Stocky" but oh, well]. Fun little car, but still runs hotter than I like
. I live in Idaho, USA, and am thinking of selling it. Just joined the group, so cheers!

Very Nice. MBG’s cars are always top class. D’Angelo Motori in Italy do a 5 speed bolt on conversion for around €2000

Hi, I'm pretty sure that this is my dads old car, which he purchased new. Does the no. plate begin AHR? My dad sadly passed away November last year. We often used to check the gov website to see if it was still on the road, and it always provided him with comfort knowing that it was.

I should also say, if it is my dads old car, I have some photos of when the car was sitting in bits in my nans garage that you might be interested in, and I'd be happy to send.
