Same question on the 500 forum suggests not. There may be different "functions" inside each type of lamp that are not in the other (e.g. the reversing lamp) so the connector plug is very likely to be different.
If you did manage to wire it up so it worked, you would then have a potential issue with the new style lights, which I believe (I only have one.. but I haven't looked into it) are LED. They could throw up a "bulb failure" warning, since they would use less voltage than your tungsten bulb.
