Is that an Alfasud I see in the foreground? If you sneak in and grab the engine, I have seen a photo of 500 with a Sud motor / gearbox in the back. Lot of engineering to get it to work but what a hoot. But I digress.

What are the plans for the rest ot the fitout?

regards

Joe R

Yeah that is a Sud you see, I own 5 , I race them all,
But on the 500, You wont believe , I am planning to put I an aprillia R 1000 motor in, again lots to make it work but it will be amazing once finished,
Regards

Obviously you have an understanding on just how dynamically good Suds are. I have had 3 ( I put a 1.7 injected motor into 1 of them) and now I have a 500 so you have found an instant friend.

Keep the updates coming, I suspect the engineering challenge will be of interest to more than a few here.

Regards

Hi Joe, the suds are awesome little cars, amazing handling on the track, one of mine is also has with 1.7 motor, goes like the wind..... I will keep you updated !!

I also once owned a Sud - great drivers car but didn't like the weather much.

First photo is my car parked in Brisbane one afternoon.
Second photo is my car after it rained that night.

Joe,
The challenge!!! ,I am not going to do that myself, I have some guys I know that will make an adapter plate up for me to get the two to come together, the spacing is a great issue tho, I only have a few millimeters for error
But sadly the project has slowed down to a snail's pace and will be for a while as I have been transfered to another city for work, but on race weekends I will see if I can get some work done and I will keep you in the loop
