Does bear a bit of a Mustang resemblance I agree...

...though me being a total pedant, it's a 390

ahh the mustang. a asthetically copied 1976 vantage.

admitaly their 1976 mustang was similar... however it clearly became more beautiful and looked remarkably like the vantage... though i suppose it could be argued as the mustang was made from 1963.

though aston being owned by ford its no surprise they were churning out similar cars

That mid-70's Mustang looks like a normal Mustang body's been made to fit a Fiesta chassis lol But still, can see the similarities it has with the Vantage.

Yep...good looking car, wouldn't mind some steering componants from it! I prefered it's replacement the 131, see photo of my car I restored in 1997 and sold in 2002 to fund the Spider build. I fitted a fast road spec Guy Croft Engine (155bhp) lowered and upgraded suspension...was a great car. Sold it to a guy in the 131 Mirafiori club, and it's still looking great to this day.

Oh & I see what you mean about the Mustang, it does look a bit small, compared to the brutes nowdays.

so many nice cars! . although id LOVE a 131 there is some sort of swave look with the 124... the rears abit horrid but the front is pure sex.

My mate had the earlier version of the coupe, with a front end more like the Spider. It was fitted with the 1608 twincam, which was a screamer...big valve head, high lift cams, and twin downdraft carbs...from standard! An absolute Stoater.

Maybe I should get a coupe turbo to add to my fleet?

do it. there not my coupee of tea (clever pun i think) BUT i do love the engineering and the sound + feel of the drive.

20vt or dont bother. 16vt sounds poo in comparison . (also alfa gtv. running on the same platform is said to out handle and out perform due to different rear suspension, but less rear room as a down side so they sold less)
