What's your fav yank tank?

I drove a 'vette like that a few years ago, my boss had imported it and I had to take it for an MOT.
It was different very different !!, drum brakes , thin crossply tyres , loads of torque and the slop in steering was unreal !!
Great fun though, but it was really difficult to get moving without sitting in a cloud of tyre smoke :)
Even on very light throttle the tyres protested when the the autobox shifted up from first to second !!

Couldn't live with one but glad I got to drive one.:D

He also had a Harley (big silly 1340cc thing ,all chrome and leather :yuck:) that I had to ride from Halifax to Leeds, heavy, no brakes, strange handling but a real hoot to ride !!:D

I suppose my favourite would be the Pontiac Firebird (Smokey and the Bandit style) Can't remember the correct name for that model but I believe it was a special edition 7ltr (although I've got a feeling they may have been 9ltr?)
I once went to a warehouse here in Sheffield that was full of American Cars and they had the exact one along with an Edsel Stationwagon !!!

im a 20s-30s hot rod man myself.

as for muscle cars. vette stingray, 1968 charger (before they had the crossbar int he grill), 67 gt500, 69 camaro z28, 67 fastback the list is rather long but favourite definitely hs to be a 68 charger

isn't it about time you got a new picture? :p

As that one perfectly encapsulates what I like about a 1969 Charger I thought why not use it again, especially as it is already in my gallery.

However, just for you I'll enclose two new pictures of one of the most extreme muscle cars ever built - the 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner 'Superbird'. NASCAR inspired and with many having the stump pulling 426 Hemi V8 engine with nearly 500 bhp (conservatively estimated). And yes, that huge rear spoiler is original equipment designed to keep the NASCAR racing versions rear ends sticking to the tracks at 150+mph...
