faulty injector i think!!??

My bravo has just started missfiring, i followed advice and removed each injector plug unill i noticed no change in revs! it was the first one, so now what do i do?? is there a way to fix this one! i recently ran out of fuel may that be the cause, also i put some petrol out of a can which turned out was for a petrol strimer so it had oil init! although that was like 4 tanks of fual ago! as i travel 100 a day easy!, back to the injector (uf it is the injector, could it be the spark plug its connected to??. if i was able to get a new injector caould i do it myself or is it a garage job?? many thanks Adam ,,,,

First engine size, mk1 or mk2 ...
Yes you can change the injector yourself, but change the plugs first also.
