Looking for a fault code reader for the van, plenty on Ebay for less than £50, any worth buying?

If you're interested in the fault codes only you can use any Chinese ODB-2 reader with a cable and display, available on Ebay for less than 20 pounds. A bluetooth device can be left in the ODB-2 socket and accessed by a smartphone with a free or almost free app. It allows you to also monitor dynamic data like fuel pressure, injection data etc.

Thanks, is it just a standard obd2 to USB lead, then the software?

Yes, but it will do a lot more than just enginge failure codes. If you get an elm cable and the adapter cables you can read all modules, airbag, abs, power steering, body computer plus engine. The registered version also allows you to perform some dealer only type functionality.

Thanks I have a problem with the cruise control not work, hoping to find any faults showing.

download and install multiecuscan free version.
launch it on your computer.
select your version of ducato.
select which module you want to look at , engine module has some cc functions.
select simulate and you can play with what it can potentially do.

It really is very good.

play with looking at fault codes
then parameters this is where you will see the cc bits

you can then choose if you want to buy a cable / cables , use the free version / pay for version.

Good hunting.
