Is there anything that will make a mk2 bravo 1.6100sx go any faster?

back box?
lowered (handling obv)
better tyres?
everything plus a remap?

im new to moddifying, so any help will be handy

thanks alot
jake

just do a re map - people have differing opinions on induction kits but you're better off getting a re-map....

loweering looks good i guess but nothing much to do with speed

i think what Tom is saying without actually typing it all out is that each modification has its own effect on the car. lowering for example will help with quicker cornering, brakes and tyres can make you quicker, because you can brake a little later before going into bends, remaps help you accelerate quicker etc etc.

is it just top speed you are interested in? (a pointless endeavour imo) or do you want a car thats equipped for making quick progress on the b-roads...

faster

top end doesnt really matter to me.

just alot more nipper and more response.

some decent alloys (think expensive, like OZ, not budget, like BSA or wolfrace) with GOOD tyres, some slightly firmer springs (eibach springs are good) and a wee remap should help. take all the rubbish out of the car, and lose some weight. that will help too, and costs less than alloys and suspension mods ;)

buy a perfect power smt6 or a dastek piggy back ecu . the 1.6 responds very well to them!!! makes 1st second and third evil all the way up to 90mph!

then you want a supersprint manifold in to a nice exhaust system

bit of head work and match the inlet and exhaust manifolds.

Actually unmatching the exhaust ports can add power, stops the engine sucking the exhaust back in as the valve closes.

If you want it to be nippier then take some weight out of the car. Its the best way.

thats what i said.. lighter wheels and a diet ;)

Well, the diet never worked for Tom.

He's still a fat b*stard ;)

Only joking Tom :)

i got on 2 angel and they said i could have an extra 10bhp fpr 265 squids!!!

lighter?

so what could i take out of it. or replace to make it lighter. the car weighs aroung 1050kg standard.

Ian, if you were any skinnier you'd fall down between paving slabs :)

Unfortunately there is no cheap and easy way to lots of power.

strip out rear seats, spare wheel, rear door cards, boot lining and the bot plastic, how adventurous do you want to go? also as buzz says get some lightweight wheels like the 15" OZ superlegerras (sp?)

or superturismo GT's, those are very nice too. ;)
mine are 16" and handle/ride very well on 45 profile tyres. thats what i'd recommend.

i have a better idea :) buy a HGT!!!! problem sorted and lots of money saved :) what it costs you extra in insurance will be loads less than the money you spend to get it as quick as a hgt!!!
