fast idle

i have a 20v marea on a 98 with 30k on the clock. just recently it has started to idle at between 1200-1500revs at idle, this seems to happen when the car has warmed up. anybody have any ideas why this happening?

I had same problem with my 115HLX bravo - it was the idle valve/sensor which was screwed. Fiat fixed it easily, it was quite expensive tho - about £100 all inc...luckily the car was under warranty.
