Aaah yes the only Pug 106 I know of with Knight Rider Lights in the grill.....
Dodgy electrics, espically when a fuse blew because he hadn't shut the boot propely, so while you & Red Tjet floored it from the Quay to Braehead I slowed down & put my rear fog on for Ally to follow as it was pishing down & he had NO Light's & NO wipers working.

Anyways Braehead's fine for me nxt Saturday, then maybee Bowling or something like that afterwards??

Have to say, that's THE ONLY time that car's ever had electrical issues. Quite surprised me actually :laugh: Any other time it was mechanical like the time the clutch died when facing nose down a hill. Would've been great if it hadn't been a dead end and the only way of getting back up was to start in gear and have a rather dubious exit onto the main road. All fun and games - that car had real character to it

Bowling could be an option though it's always better to have a group to spread the cost a bit. There's a fair few things there, arcade at the very least. Pool if memory serves is a bit extortionate, but could be an option as I do like the game even if I am a bit on the rusty side.

Only thing to watch is once in the cinema I think phone signal dies a death, so won't be contactable. Thinking with the film times and the fact it's a 2 hour+ film that there may not be time for much after it finishes. Of course, this depends if we go Chinese Buffet-wards or somewhere else for food beforehand. The shopping bit's open till 8pm or perhaps later so in theory the fast food places in there are also an option.

It's an option, depends how hungry we are I guess :laugh: Chinese Buffet's I think around £12-14 a head but that's all you can eat, desert included so depends if you take advantage of that. I say advantage, could end up being regretted mid-way through the film :laugh:

Well, for a 3 person meet I enjoyed myself :laugh:

Of course, the Stilo decided to throw a wobbly at the very beginning of the day which Ally and Andi figured out was almost certainly due to the battery becoming decidedly dead. Temporarily now sporting a battery which previously lived in either a Freelander or a 106 till I get the new one in a few days.

Anyway though, once we got going and made our way to the Braehead it was a good little meet. Not much actual car action apart from our hands getting dirty on mine, but the sweeping bends leading up to the actual Braehead are kind of entertaining...honestly :laugh: Parked up, we realised it was actually Saturday and the eating establishments that wouldn't cost a fortune were perhaps a tad busy. So, we wandered down the Clyde side path next to the Arena and went for the ever classy and satisfying McDonald's.

Went in for the film, tickets for which have went up by another quid since I last went back in Sept '10 (not that I'm skinflint or anything ) and in to watch the latest Fast and the Furious extravaganza. Won't give anything away to those who haven't seen it but I rather enjoyed it. Decent enough narrative for once, unobtrusive effects shots and hell, even Paul Walker was bearable. Oh and that after credits scene made me happy

So, all in all a good one. Cheers for Andi and Ally for making it along and helping out with RGZ and looking forward to St Andrews

The battery Ally put in was a Type 063 which he'd had in his 106....
What about that Green Merc? T****R is the word that springs to my mind.

As for the film.... Awesome.
& then the entertainment of Ally's Laguan's lights.. :lol: :laugh:

Indeed, only saw the after hooting of what that Merc had been up to, maybe it's just an FS meet thing that a dodgy driver has to get near you in the GP or something

That battery of Ally's though, he mentioned he wasn't sure if it was the Pug one afterwards though would be amazed if it'd been the Freelander one. Saying that, Rover Group cars were often not the best thought out pieces of machinery. Loved the lights thing, was a masterful bit of French auto electronics :laugh:

I did say Rob thst the Battery Ally bought along was the same type I'd had in the Sei.
& the merc, well he decided at the lights to be on my inside, so to go left, lights went green & he decided to cut into my lane without indicating, hence why I hooted at him.
