Well, the next Fast and the Furious film is nearly upon us and I figured "why not make a meet out of it?" So, let's make a meet out of it :)

Film's out on the 29th of April and as such, I think we could well get away with making the meet the day of the opening. It's a Friday, so good way to start the weekend I reckon.

Obviously don't know specific times as yet, but can post them up nearer to the day itself. Also, I think there's a chance this'll be released at the IMAX, so that's a possibility too. Cinema wise besides that, I'm thinking either the Odeon at the Braehead Xscape or the Odeon at Springfield Quay. The former I reckon though has the better quality screens.

So, if you's fancy it, pop your name down and any thoughts on cinema location or preferences for time of the day to head along to it :)

I'd be up for this as a meet Rob.
Another car club that you: me & Ming are on were planning on seeing this & having a club meet.
Thing is nobody posts on that froum now so I cba with them.

I think the Quay would be a better location as it's easier for folk to get to i.e. Kieran.
Brahead is easy enough for peeps like you, me & Ming, but it would mean more miles for other folk, although it's just of the Motorway.... hmmmmmm

Am I right in thinking Rob that Brahead has 2 cinema's?? 1 in the main shopping centre & 1 at Xscape (Brilliant place to go)

I always thought Braehead just had the one at XScape - Odeon if I'm not mistaken
?

If there's enoguh demand, we could also have a similar meet in Aberdeen or Dundee for us northerners?

Ignore part of the last post by me then, don't know why but for some reason I thought there was 2 cinema's at Braehead.
Odeon at Xscape. In fact if were in Xscape who would be up for the Skypark bit??
Skypark & Fan Drop £13.50each Skypark & Climbing £13.50each
If enough peeps were interetsted we could maybee do a group booking.

My car beeps at me when the handbrake's engaged as I'm moving. Need more practice I believe though ;)

But yeah, the Xscape cinema's pretty easy to get to and the screens in there are probably the best bar the IMAX ones. The Springfield Quay is okay, but it's not much of a step up from the pants poor Showcase. IMAX itself is something like £12, which is about a fiver if memory serves more than a regular cinema ticket so it's up to everyone whether we do that or not. Can confirm availability, times and such nearer to the release date I'd guess. I think if it were IMAX, we'd need to book in advance.

As for the film, I love the series. It's incredibly stupid and the acting is at best Days of Our Lives-esque, but it's a car film at points and even though a lot of CGI's used, I still enjoy it. Of course the other minus with this one is no Michelle Rodriguez, but we've always got the lovely Jordana seen here in casual F&F mode...
