i need a bit of advice on an engine change!

i've got a 96' 1.8 16v engine, gear box and ecu. recently i've been offered a 98' hlx with engine problems, so i am comptemplating putting my engine in the 98' model.

is there any reason why this swap wouldn't work?

also after chatting to a few other people the only problem that has arisen is, i am being told that te 98' model has got air con (i have not seen the car, so connot confirm this yet) but the 96' has not and some say that it will not fit because of this!?

please help!!

Erm....why are you asking me about engines? I'm about as technical as a fish! lol

I'm sure one of the other guys will help

lol sorry my mistake thought you had something to do with angel tuning, must have been nige i was thinking of!

The 1.8 with aircon came out of a bravo, so it must go back in

Only problem might be all the relays/switches you don't have on the non aircon model.

You'll need a brand new Auxilary Belt, much longer than your Bravo previously had.
