2) arent u ment to be a mod and set standards of how people should act on a forum... is calling some one a **** how a mod should act? or having a last abusive word and then locking the thread?

3) i really couldnt care any less about what any one thinks of me. i have my views u have urs life would be pretty **** if we all thought and did the same. my post wasnt bad i showed my view and i didnt even swear. which is good for me

it appears i am wrong about the advanced driving i spoke to so called mate last night and he said what u pretty much said. so my appologies for that. but as for speeding no sorry i dont think they should speed. especially where i have seen them speeding. dereham road nice 30mph i seen coppers and ambulances do at least 60 down here on a mid day. 40 i could understand but it always seems to me they either stick to the limits or try to smash them.

I closed the tailgating thread because it was rapidly descending into another speeding flamefest. That's not what this place is for.

Yes, I'm a mod and with the support of the other members and Wimmy, it's my job to make sure this place doesn't descend into a cess pit. I admit that calling someone a **** might be overboard, but as I have explained in a recent post about anonymous posters, if you don't identify yourself, you'll get short shrift from me. I don't care who you are. If they show respect, they'll get respect back.

Your third point sums a lot of things up. Not caring what people think about you may seem to you as being a big boy and a real man, but in actual fact it makes you look like an inconsiderate fool. Sit down and think about what you are saying. I used to live and work on Dereham Road for many years, I know how often emergency vehicles use that road and how fast they go. It's a main artereal route in and out of the city. I don't ever remember there being an accident involving an emergency vehicle on that road. It seems that what you are really "bitter" about is that certain people have the legal right to speed and you don't have that same right. To be quite blunt, there's obviously a damned good reason for that because unleashing testosterone fuelled boys out in fast cars is just giving these emergency vehicles more work to do. You have no idea of the pressure a policeman/fireman/ambulance driver is under to reach their destination as soon as is possible. These drivers are highly trained, not some speed freak with a death wish. They could outdrive the likes of you or me in any vehicle because they have been professionally trained to do so.

dont get me wrong i consider what every one has to say but why should i care what some one thinks of me when they think im a stupid child.. i wouldnt u wouldnt no one would.

because i have a fast car dont mean i drive fast. infact i think if anything im safer now than i have ever been. if i go to over take im round something a lot quicker. faster car = better brakes. this still doesnt mean i havent had a scare but just cos im young and drive a fast car dont paint me with the same brush as every other chav thanks

think were gonan have to agree to disagree on this one like we had to on the pedestrian crossing thread too

No hard feelings Smee, you are entitled to your opinion, even if it does suck lol.
I gave an example that was topic related and seem to have been slammed for it, moreso by a, i'll leave Rob to fill in the blank.
Cant get my head around your comments but hey, its your point of view. There are good reasons why we speed and also have sirens to use when we do.
Some people do drive too fast, i'll give you that. The guidelines are 20mph over the speed limit.
