As the man in the Tom Tom know ... any chance you could hook me up with a TT5 Mobile CD?!?!?! Email is daedos59 AT yahoo.com. Ta muchly

download

have you got emule

you can download it, search for "tomtom mobile 5 gb" in emule

its about 100mb, it has the tomtom 5 gb map aswell

Re: download

tried that but think I download the Series60 version as there is no obvious way of installing it. Have maps, just need app

search again

ok, emule seems rubbish on searching more than 3 words

search for tomtom mobile 5

then download one of the following

"tomtom mobile 5 windows smartphone.rar" 36.58MB

or

"tomtom mobile 5 windows mobile CRAKED.NO MAP.rar" 34.79MB ......AND "tomtom mobile 5 windows smartphone crack" 770.08kb and crack it (this is the one i have).

is your map v5.62, when you get it working check that this is the map version, otherwise your using the older tomtom 4 map

hope that helps

Re: search again

Hi Daedos, sorry been working hence the slow reply. I can hook you up with a CD for TT5 with GB Maps and Speed Camera Database if you want plus any other maps you maybe interested.

Just to note, the version i have is for the Nokia, the Silly orange SPV phones require an exe file but the one i have doesn't require or use an exe file. However i have got a copy with the exe file just recently but can't say whether it works or not as i haven't got an orange SPV phone. But the one i have defo works on a Nokia 6600 and 6680.

Re: search again

Argghgh

Spent all last night trying to get TomTom working on the SPV C500. Finally managed it, turns out you need the smartphone version of TomTom and the Navigator maps (obviously).

Next hurdle is trying to get my GPS receiver (ebay job) to connect. The instructions relate to PocketPC and say set the PDA/phone to use com port 8, but the c500 only allows 6 or 7. So my questions are ...

1. Anybody know how I can get round it?
2. Anybody know of another decent GPS recevier that uses COM 6 or 7?

Re: search again

I know this probably won't help, but I have the Series 60 version (Nokia 6600) and there is no need for messing with COM ports, just pair the devices and away you go. I have a BT-77 GPS unit and it connected first time with my 6600 and TomTom works faultlessly :)

So, my advice is get a decent phone ;)

J/K ;)
