hi ya, i have owned a couple of mk1's and one mk 2 but i prefer the mk 1.im driving a nice little standard 1.6 punto at the mo but just bought a 1.6 cabrio for the summer. its in the husbands shop for a respray ill ad some pics when its done. i want to do a few mods to it but would love some advise.
my plan already is to firstly up rate the brakes from drum to disk, i want a bigger engine. 2 ltr or something. idealy with turbo. i plan to change the gear box, to suit the power. any suggestions as to which engine will be easier to drop in?
i also plan to lower it. i got some skirts and some nice wheels. havnt seen any bumpers i like yet, so as it stands im gunna have the originals put on untill i find some.
i like the stuff i put on to look sleek and not in yer face. is there anything else you can suggest?
help would be appreciated

and i found some bumpers. thay aint exactly as planned. (classy and unnoticable) but they r well nice!! i got to pick them up on sunday. just hope he dont sell them to some1 else before i get there... lol

Or what about the 1.4 GT from the Mk1's anyway?

i know the mk 1 gt has plenty of power for any one, my problem is this. my husband has the mk1 gt. when we go to any meets, hes always shows me up. i wanna give him a taste of he's own medicine. lol i want my cake and i want to eat it. lol i want a punto tats better than hes for power!

If you have your heart set on a 2.0 engine then sell the Punto and buy a Bravo.

A 2.0 lump is all wrong for a Punto. Too large, too heavy.

but my punto is my new baby!!! anyway i dont need a 2.0. i just need better than a punto 1.4 gt. (i know, its gunna be hard)

But there's always someone who will come along with more money and P on your bonfire.

Is your car going to be a dymo-queen? Prefer a drivable car myself and lots of power can only be used on a test track. Or is it just wanting to 'willy wave'?
