Thought id put the Bravo through the MOT a bit early, thinking it shouldnt have much wrong at all.But out comes the red paper :( Needs a new front shock absorber and for some reason the rear brakes work when pressed, but then quickly lose all power over about 5-10 seconds :( is this likely to be the wheel cylinders? Thanks guys/gals

sorry that its failed, renew shockers in pairs: does the pedal go down when braking? what is the fluid level like. If its just rear brakes and you are not losing fluid i would check the load actuating valve (LAV)

Apparantly its just the rear. The car has EBD,so does it still have a load valve?Fluid only drops a small amount over time

re -Failed MOT

My Peugeot 306 had similar brakes worked when you hit them then quickly faded. Changed the rear brake cylinders (and bearings and pads as sot also) didn't work ended up being the master cylinder.
