Hi Everyone,

I'm having a hard time locating an interior door panel to match my older seat cover. The photo shows the awful combo I have today (offending panel to the left...). Looking for a replacement panel with a similar light tan tone. Any advice on who to talk to?

Thanks!

Hi Kent,

I've not used all of the vendors so hard to give you a response. I've been happy with parts I have ordered.

I think it will be more of a case if they have the match you need and what the costs will be to get it ship out to you in the good ol US of A

Maybe you might want to consider speaking to Rossara of "DiBellaFiats" (on instagram)

Their cell is 84530 41677

Based in NY, they import 500's and parts from Europe so might be able to assist you.

Cheers
Rob

Kent - FYI, don’t be too quick to use a US based parts supplier; in my experience, many of them are just getting parts from the European suppliers anyway. They often just relay US customer orders to the European suppliers as they come in, and mark up their cost accordingly. They are just middlemen who add cost and slow down delivery. You may do better bypassing them and getting direct from the European suppliers, all of whom easily do business with US customers. The good ones are mentioned in here frequently- many in the UK, Netherlands and Germany. Good luck!

Kent, I checked Axel's site

https://webshop.fiat500126.com/en/interior-und-seats/chassis/3/

Lots of options, but not sure you'll find a good match. Maybe you could dye / spray the panel to match your interior? Google this, seem to be a few options and might be easier to get the colour matched?

This looks a good option

Or expensive option, replace your interior with a new scheme !! ekkk !

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Good luck in your search!i have the same situation, two tatty door cards i was about to throw out as i had ordered new from axel gerstl but when they arrived they were exactly like the offending one on your door! I never throw away any shabby original parts away as unfotunately new ones are often quite unlike the original parts.i would add that the sevice from gerstl is excellent in all ways and the door cards i got were top qualityand well priced but not the colour i was hoping for,so i am repairing my old ones.i have non matching front seats, one like yours, the other from a later L model which is a closer match to the new door cards.maybe there is a difference between tan and ochre ?

Not to push any specific vendor, but FD Ricambi, with whom I’ve done plenty of business successfully, has both ochre and tan door cards.

Wow, I'm blown away by the friendliness and willingness to give advice on this forum.
I'll post a series of photos of my 500F to get some styling advice (making sure things are model correct).
Cheers,

Thanks!
I guess you're right, not faded but a light tan version of the interior.

Kent, I don't think anything is faded. There is a seat-cover set at Axel gerstl which looks like the same shade. I can't see door paanels on the same website. The Van der Laan website gives the actual color codes for some of their stock. A bit more detective work and you'll find it.(y)

Kent, have you thought of having a word with a local trimmer? There must be somebody in your area who could re-trim your door cards to match. Being that they are simple, single-colour cards, it might work out cheaper than buying new and then hoping that when they arrive, they match your sat colour.
Don't be too surprised of the willingness of the members of this Forum to help others---it is reckoned to be the friendliest Forum of the lot---some can get really bitchy and sarcastic.

Thanks!

Another thing Kurt, I think that technically, from new, your car may have had an interior which matched the "offending" door-panel rather than the way it is now. There will have been many possibilities and options in the trim of these cars, but from early 1968, as standard, they were shipped with seat-covers in one colour.

Mind you, further thought, you have the earlier 500F rear badge so possibly, yours is an earlier car.
