Fix It Again Tommorrow!

I have a small wet patch this morning on the passenger side at the top just where the plastic finishes and the felt stuff begins. Its only moist at the moment.

So, is it leaking sunroof or aerial or something no one has ever seen before.

Thanks for your help

It's Ferrari In Affordable Trim if you don't mind Sir! ;)

Or if you like, Fantastic Italian Automobile Transport.

you get what you pay for

indeed, you get what you pay for.

Its just such a nice car but is let down by loads of little things.

Big stuff it seems great but those niggles, really take the shine off...

Re: you get what you pay for

I know what you mean but I suppose having own some of the older Fiat models (127, Uno, 128) I know that Fiat have removed the vast majority and that the MK1 Punto and the Bravo/a where a huge leap forward in reliability.

Still got some work to do I guess but (frantically grasps as much wood as possible) mine's been relatively trouble-free. :)

Anyway, I'll stop hijacking now and let you get back on topic. :)

Re: you get what you pay for

A friend of mine owns a Ford Fester and it does live up to the Fix Or Repair Daily name. Its HORRIBLE!

He turned up one day at my house complaing it was making a funny noise, turned out the alternator bracket had snapped off!

Re: you get what you pay for

Do you mean near the visor? Mine has a nice bit of mould growing there occasionally. You're right - its either the aeriel or sunroof seal.

All on the guide

Re: you get what you pay for

Smee has the same problem.
His is the seal of the sunroof leaking I think.

Re: you get what you pay for

If you mean on the passenger side floor then probably leaves blocking the drainage hole at the bottom of the widscreen... see the repair guide, mine did it a couple of years ago and that fixed it :)

not on the floor

no its not on the floor

its to the left of the passenger side sun visor(as you look at it from the dirvers seat)

so is it aerial or sunroof?

what sealant is good to use(if its aerial, can i use silicone sealant as in the stuff you put in a sealant gun to do the bathroom?

Thanks again

when i open my sunroof

when i open my sunroof there is some water within the sunroof "seating bracket thing", only a small amount, is it supposed to be there or is it supposed to be water tight?

Ta

Re: when i open my sunroof

I think its supposed to be there, but i think there are supposed to be drain holes at either side...

I think there is something in the guide (link at the top)...
