F*CKING FRONT PIPE!

i'm slightly p*ssed off to say the least. I ordered a new front pipe off the net over a week ago and after having a go myself i thought, **** i cant do it. so after looking around for quotes i took it to one place about 20miles away, only to get there and find out they cant do it either cos the nuts are too rusty. brought it back home and took it to a local tyre and exhaust place, 'it'll cost ya £60', so i thought bugger it, it needs to be done. get a fone call about an hour later, 'urmmm yeah it doesnt fit'. My car is a late '98 so i must need the mk2 front pipe. So now i've got a very empty pocky and im back where i started. i cant return it now either cos its been more than 7 days!

So...does anyone wanna buy a front pipe?

why dosnt it fit?
I have found that on later models they put the lambda sensor in a different place.

either way, the supplier should swop it, since it is their fault if their listings are not comprehensive.

the bloke said the fitting at the manifold end is different. its from buypartsby but i think its the same company as cats-direct? I've just had a look on the site and i should be able to return it, its just so annoying cos of all the hassle its caused! my cars sitting at the garage and i need it for work in a couple of hours i'm ringing round local places to see if they've got any.

Well whoever you bought it from must take it back as i'm sure the law states 14days.

Even if you dont get a refund they will exchange it for the right one.

Anyway surely you gave the year and model of your car to the company you bought the pipe from, so really the company must be at fault.

Ring them and ask.
