hi tom, can you advise me on replacing a coil on a 1.8(1997)?.
This is the third one to go in about a year and a half, so i'm getting pretty used to the symptoms;- misfire, lack of power, no injection light!. After watching the AA guy last time, i saw how when he loosened the bolts on the buggered coil you could see it sparking when i started the engine. I've done this now as well and can see the same thing on one of the two old coils. If i order up a new coil is it as simple as unpluging the old one and inserting the new one, or is there anything else that has to be done.
Obviously if need be i'll take it to my local rip off Vardy dealer, but it bugs me having to pay them £60 to hook it up to their fault reader as they did last time if its a simple job.
Any advice is welcome!!!
Regards
Craig

Danny as far as i know it's a dealer only part, mine cost £75.
Hope this helps.
