Hi mate...thats ok mate...thats well cheap!!!! well i really couldnt let the stereo go for less than about 140-150 on its own without the controller....if u were still interested... but if u say u can get it for 140 brand new well then i would say go for it!!!

as regard to my next car...well my family has always had fiats, Panda!!! Uno 45, ciquecento. I have only been driving for four years, im 21, i used to drive the uno but from when i was about 15 i totally fell in love with the bravo so when i got to 19, i just had to buy my 1.2sx Bravo which i still love. I love the shape.its just im now looking for some more kick under the bonnet.. i mean for a 1.2 16v its bloody quick considering how heavy it is!! IM GOING TO BE HATED FOR THIS!!! but i am probably getting a stilo abarth 3dr in black i hear that pretty quick and its got the works and as far as toys inside the car..climate control..paddles behind steering wheel!! very smart!! i mean insurance is going to be pretty hefty at my age on that car!! i was considering a golf V5 or a honda civic type R but to me they are just very boring cars...i would like to know your opinion on the stilo or if you think i would be better off going for one of the other two (golf V5 of civic type R)....although i cant imagine driving anything other then a fiat. i bet i wont be welcome on this forum anymore if i do buy a stilo though!! i dont think they have as much style as the bravo but then again in my opinion all cars just seem to be blurring into one homogeneous style (all look like volkswagens)!! i would like something fiery and i am really hoping the stilo will be very quick although im worried that i am going to be dissapointed

I think the (3 door) stilo is a great car. Havent driven one, but its stylish (very mean looking). Hugely practical, well priced, i could go on....

I would consider getting one but my next car is going to be a fiat coupe (tho at 19 years old the insurers would probably laugh at me).

Again as above I havent driven the Stilo, but reckon the Abarth 3dr looks great, even better with the chromed 17" alloys.
On paper the performance looks poor, 2.4 is slower than Bravo 2.0, though Stilo has more torque.
I'd have one if funds allowed, but would avoid the dealers and try and get one with the spec you want from a car supermarket or import. Good luck.

By the way my car is the Wine Red motor with the one off back bumper.The guy with the colour co-ordinated dash is Alan W, nevermind anyway. Thanx for responding re the stereo. I think they are trying to give them away at the moment!!

As above i havne't yet drove the stilo Abarth but i think black is the colour to go for, lots of poloishing though (lol)...U know what i mean Si! I, too have only ever had Fiats and i'm also 21. What u have to think about is that it is a lot of money to spend and the Fiat will not keep its price aswell as the Civic and Golf, but their not Italian i know!!!

Personally the Stilo has had mixed reviews which can put some doubt in your mind whether to go for it. I think overall the Civic type R can't be beaten and it will keep its price very well! I know someone who lives around the corner who has only had Golf GTI's or the VR6, but he has now got the Civic aswell.This is only my opinion though Henry.....i havne't drove any of these cars, so i would suggest test drive them with the dealer then buy one off a import Co. eg I have found a Import Website that will sell u a Type R, Uk listed,3years warantee for only £13,500ish!!!(in my opinion a good buy)They haven't got the Stilo Abarth on it yet.Sorry...

CIVIC IMPORTER URL???

So far I have pretty much decided that the civic is the one to go for!! i have had doubts put in my mind about the stilo as you said...the reviews have been mixed!!! i know its got the works in terms of toys..but i really think it needs a turbo charger!! like you said re-sale value is an important consideration for me at this time

anyway..i am test driving both the stilo abarth and the honda civic next week so i will let you know my opinion although im not expecting much in terms of performance from the Stilo

have you got the website address for that import on the Honda Civic??? if so i would be very greatful if you could post it on this thread or email it to me. I live in hertfordshire and I bought my bravo from trade_sales in slough and i have checked all the import sites and car supermarkets i know but i have not found one as cheap as you did! thats well good news!!!

although i dont care how much i have to spend to get the air conditioning option!! thats crazy all that money and air conditioning isnt standard

The Civic 'R' Us - is the most unstylish car this side of a Stilo. It may go alright and handle well but you would have to do it wearing a paper bag. Bit like a pulling a munter - great fun until your friends find out!

There is an alternative and a rare beast - I haven't actually driven one, but I have driven its less powerful brother.

I agree in some respects

i know this is knit picking but the honda....although arguably not as stylish and with all the luxuries ..according to what - car magazine is given a 0-60 of 6.8 seconds as opposed to 7.2... although it is 10bhp less and the hondas top speed is marginally slower.

All round..the seat seems to offer a more luxurious package but well in terms of style..im undecided...test drove the civic..today..and it is blisteringly quick...loved it. i will most certainly test drive the leon cupra R though as well.

How was the Civic then????I think Nige was a little harsh, i think it hasn't got the Italian style but its a good package for the price i've seen it for!!I have to agree though with N that the Leon is really the Bravo replacement.Not only that but importing it u can save £2,500 than the listed price on the website N put on. The manager of my band bought a VW Golf GTI on this web-site about a year ago and he would recommend it

Honda Civic

Alright mate, cheers for getting back to me with those addresses, i will check them later today..just got back from work!!! The honda....to put it plainly was truly amazing in terms of performance for your money..although air conditioning at 1000 extra is a little steep i must say!!

i have yet to test drive the stilo abarth and the leon cupra R which are both ony my list!!!!

i will keep you posted if u are interested as to what i thought...i wish they had put a turbo in the stilo abarth...now that would have been interesting!!!
