I've an Ulysse 2004 with Nav+, the external video connection works fine but just after ~30Km/h it's automatically disabled. Do you know how to disable this control ? My passengers wolud like to watch a DVD during the trip. Please let me now

Hi Luca

You have to get the car put onto Examiner at the FIAT dealership, and let them disable the speed limiter for the screen :) - mine is already disabled.

If I disable the speed limiter does the cruise control continue to works ?

This has nothing to do with cruise control....

All the setting in Examiner does is to turn off the screen once you hit a certain speed - it is a SAFETY feature, obviously, but can be over-ridden. Maybe 'speed limiter' was the wrong terminology.......

How do you connect an external vidio source to the screen? according to my manual there should be some sockets in the glove box, but there isn't. The manual also says this function is not available?

Ian,

I think the connectors are only available if you have Nav+ (large colour screen in centre of dashboard) Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Video on a small green screen is not much fun!!

My cables were not fitted properly and pushed down the back of the glove box liner. I found them from underneath and pushed them up.

The speed at which it turns off is altered by the examiner unit but it is illegal for video to be playing where the driver can see it so PSA have realeased a new version of the examiner software that stop the dealer doing it. The dealer has to reload the first software version then every update until the one before this latest version. They can then alter your settings then upgrade back to the latest supported version.

If you can find a dealer to do that release his name as he will have a queue of people!!

I have Nav+ with the large screen, I will rout around behind the glove box to see if I can see any sign of the cables.

Thanks

Hi there

Does that mean that UK Dealers won't 'unlock' the 30km/h limiter to enable the screen to be used whilst 'in motion'?

Cheers

Mitch

My dealer has upgraded the S/w (v 5.41 ?) and I have the sockets physically in place but he tells me the mechanic (sic) cant find out how to activate the socket with the examiner - anyone know the path ??

I thought I saw detailed instructions once but cant find them now.

I have tried just plugging in - and that doesnt work.

Thanks

Upgraded to 5.41? You sure? That is about 2 revisions old....

Not sure of the Examiner path - I was in the car at the time, but not sure what the tech pressed.

When you go to main menu, do you see the AV menu?

Old version - well that wouldnt suprise me at the rate this things getting fixed !

It finally appeared on the subsequent visit...

All hunky dory now - apart from the other 6 outstanding faults - well its only been 18 months !

Please take it back !!!!!!!!
