Proud owner of an 03 2.0 diesel Ulysse Eleganze. There is a smell in the cabin seems to me like exhaust fumes. I have a young boy 16 months and another on the way, so really do not want to risk there health until I have solved this problem. I have read on the posts that it can be the webasto heater or perhaps not. I am taking it into my local garage on Saturday to check on this but any pointers as to the most likely culpit and how to solve this would be great! Seems to a stronger smell when moving around town rather than on the motorway.

Many Thanks,
Andy

With the engine running on tick-over, put the palm of your hand firmly over the exhaust tailpipe exit, it should build up pressure & eventually stall the engine, if when doing this you hear a hiss from under the car there is an exhaust leak which needs fixing.

If all is fine there, check the rear hatch door is closing & sealing properly.
