Exhaust problem

On my new car, I've got a full stainless catback system. For some reason, the backbox has moved upwards and is now touching the bumper. I noticed it today, and its started to melt the plastic because of the heat.

Any ideas why it would have moved, and how can I get it fixed so theres a gap again? It used to have a gap of about half an inch between backbox and bumper.

Cheers

sounds like you need to straighten/bend, or extend the rear hanger on the backbox mate.

Its probably jumped off a mounting further underneath the car. Get your head down and have a look. If your not experiencing a blowing noise from the exhaust then i doubt the exhaust has turned or bent.

this keeps happening to my megane, basically as Joske said, its all witht he rubbers, if it had brand new rubbers on when u got it, then the rubbers would have softened up which made it drop somehwere, or it jumped iff a rubber. see if u can get some of those poly..somethign plastic mounts. they are the best. if i was u, id put some kind or head resistant protection in the bumper where the exhaust is, iv done it and it doesnt touch my bumper then.
