Evesham Balloon Festival and classic car show

This is real short notice, but I though i'd let you know about this.

Evesham Hot Air Balloon Festival on crown meadow, also includes a car show, it was great last year with the weather on our side - be warned if the weather is rubbish, its not worth really going !

Anyway if the weather is good, im holding a Fiat Motor Club stand and im making fiat forum-ers welcome to join us, its a great venue on the banks of the river avon, within short walking distance of the town centre.

The balloon fest on the 6th June, ive just read in our local paper the rundown on the day and this is what it says:

*multiple balloon launch 6pm *Night glow to music 10.20pm *Celebration Fireworks 10.40pm *Vale cider and ale bar *Pork roast *Food stalls, funfair and craft fair *Classic car show all day *999 Community safety day

there is exactly the same thing in Llangollen every year. We went there last year for the first time and it was a fantastic day and will be going again this year. Well worth going

I live in Evesham so i'll definitely be going. My work has a hot air balloon which'll probably be there too (sure, they have a hot air balloon but won't fix the lock on the door because it "unnecessary" costs... )

Love all the little Evesham festivals actually, always make for a great day.

Just to let you know, sorry its late notice n ' all that, but I wont be holding a fiat motor club stand at the show , you can still go along as a stand alone entry, its very easy come easy go. It is a good show especially the nightglow.

Just an update folks, had an email through from the show organiser, it reads :

"Hi Folks,

Bad news about the balloons. The hot air balloons are postponed until 22nd August due to weather concerns. All of the rest of the show is to go ahead as planned. The vehicles therefore are to be the major attraction at the event on both days. If there are any more folks with interesting vehicles you can invite on my behalf at this late stage they are more than welcome to attend. We now have another third of the meadow to try to fill if at all possible.
