My fiat punto is 14 months old now and under 10k miles, so I decided to book it in for a service. The service guy said they do a first service for £71+ (Great, I was expecting like £160).
Anyway; it turns out fiat now do a check and report service. I was asking him about this service and it turns out they only check the car out and report back any problems. They don't do oil, filters and what ever else a normal service do, just tick boxes.
So they want me to pay them £71 just to look the car over and if anything needs doing then charge me for the extra. They don't even clean inside the car. The guy was honest about it (he didn't lie) and im still planning on getting a full service in the coming weeks but this check and report nonsense, noway...
In a service you expert the oil and filter changing and fruids topping up don't you.
