Hi, I got a motorhome with a Fiat jt multijet 130. Sometimes the check engine light turns on after a long drive (5h) and give p0697. When this happens the aircondition stops working and the enginetempmeter goes right up to the middle possition even when the engine is cold. Sometimes I can erase the code on the first try sometimes after several tries. When I have no sucess erasing the code it usually goes out by it self after awhile. Anyone got a suggestions?

It appears the sensors are aranged in groups for distrubution of the ref voltages 5V and 0V
So check earths again and it appears the differential dpf sensor is also in this group.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried to messure the earths but its hard when I dont have a wiring diagram. Tried a new engine temp sensor but the error persists. After spraying contact spray in every connector I can reach the temp meter went to the top when I turned on the ignition but after starting the engine it went to the middle posision (cold engine). When I do a coldstart the engine cough and allmost stalls but with a little pressure on the accelerator I can keep it alive it allso smokes a lot for a few second when cold. After that it runs perfectly. This make me believe that the ECU is getting the wrong info .

Finaly found the culprit! it was the ac pressure switch, disconnecting it makes the check engine light go away but as soon as I connect it it turns on. The engine temp shows normal readings allso with the switch dissconnected. We would need the ac now, 27 degrees in the Netherlands right now. I will fix it when i get home in 10 day. Thankyou for the help.
