Evenin all

As the title suggests hard cornering is causing my little car to dump shell optimax over my rear wing and probably the wheel as well. Its doing an excellent job of stripping my concours rattle can paint off as the pic slightly shows

I dont remeber my Panda ever doing this despite some exuberant driving. So I come to seek the opinion of the best & brightest.....

:yeahthat: And assuming enthusiastic driving is not up for discussion, only partially fill the tank until it's sorted. Good luck (y)

Certainly enthusiastic driving not really negotiable :D Agility is one of its charms. Checked the rubber seal. Present and correct and no cracks.

The tanks rarely over half full anyway, hangover from student days. It still seems to happen.

As for painting in petrol resistant paint id rather fix the root cause :D

The filler pipe can be cracked, sometimes cunningly and the leaking fuel follows the pipe to the plastic body interface part and makes it appear as if it has come from the cap/filler entrance but it has really crept around the edges. Shortly will be investigating a similar problem with the track Uno that was simply dumping the stuff out round left handers on track. No amount of sealant around the new petrol cap seemed to stop it, so suspect cracked pipe or housing on that.

That sounds logical. Being the age it is i wouldn't be at all suprised. Cheers (y)
