ok i have a bad left hand as i have screws and such in it which has forced me into driving automatics but its my fault for my inline days :0) any way im looking for what i can do to the engine and how would it affect the auto transmission i have the 1.6 16v auto Brava youve seen the exhaust and decat pipes so far but what else can i really do to it i also have a carbon fibre induction kit in place

presumably you can have new cams and a dastek unichip fitted. I dont know exactly how an auto box works, but i imagine it'll use the available power. I'm totally guessing, but i imagine cams and a chip will take your 1.6 up to maybe 125bhp if you've got other mods?

dont get the dastek for the 1.6 the perfect power smt6 is better. buy a supersprint manifold a good cotten pannel air filter a set of c&b cams have the inlet and outlet ports matched to the manifolds fit some bigger valves and you will be pushing around 130bhp (thats a conservative estimate)

yeah i was thinking that the auto box would work that way so i was just guessing that i could do the same to the car as a manual apart from put a short shifter on it hehe and a racing clutch :0) but cheers for the info and for you all the car is finished on the outside the bodykit is on and painted and the drivers side has had a respray so not long till pics :0)
