Technical Engine temprature and fan switch on

I have a Seicento 1.1 Sporting 2002 and I connected the laptop to the ECU to see the engine temp. The fan came on at 97 degrees C and went off at 93. Is this normal?

Does the fan have 1 or 2 speeds?

What temperature should the thermostat open at?

Yes.
1 speed.
90 degrees IIRC.

I thought I better ask before fitting a temp gauge, just to make sure all was correct.
