Technical Engine swap Panda 34 1981

Hello , I have a Panda 34 from 1981 here and it´needs another engine.
Who knows if a 1999 900cc engine fits or what has to be changed....
Else what engine would fit in it easily?

i am not too knoledgeable of the early mk1 panda..
what engine did it have originally? was it a 903cc?

I don't believe the UK ever got the 850 engine in our mk1 Panda's, I think we only had the 903 and the 965. The only 850 engine I know of is the 843cc which was used in the earlier Fiat 850's and was later replaced by the 903 so I would assume they have the same mounts and use the same gearbox, so it may be possible.

panda 34 was a downsized panda 45 for some markets, any 903cm engine wll ft.
