but will a GT Turbo 1.4 8v fit? or a FIAT PUNTO GRANDE 1.4 8V ACTIVE SPORT ENGINE fit?? i justd dont know what to do or whats best:(
Thanks alot tom:)

the gt lump is too front heavy for a car like this. the 1.4 will go in and you might as well with all the work needed to swap all the 899cc lot out. a 1.1 sportng would have been much easier.. GP 8v engine will fit too i think long as its a fire engine. GP engines are lotsa money though. may as well go whole hog and get a Tjet if your gonna get anything from a GP. also how old are you because dont forget insurance will rape you

Good advice. 1368cc 16v is a great engine and would give great progressive power in a cinq. Make sure you upgrade the brakes and suspension with the extra power. Niece has the standard 1.1 and she was very happy with - plus it was brillant on juice. Remember with a turbo its hard on the car with the torque generated plus you'd never get it insured.

V8 lol rallycinq, that v8 lump is about the size of the whole cinq lol. Thanks everyone for the response, means alot :) The 1.4 16v it is then :D what car is that out of though? the stilo or a punto? i really dont know anything about fiats:( apologise for that.
I am 23 dronenrs and been insured on turbos before so the insurance wouldn't be a problem :) Thanks again everyone :D

The question you really need to ask before you go ahaed and start jumping on with a parts list.

Do you want a fast cento? or just a fast car?

I know it's a depressing question but out of all of this your always going to want more (trust me :D).

Thanks

X

i think the answer to that is...... lots. the 1.4 16v engine is probably gonna be at least £250 probably more the brakes probably another £75. suspension £150 wheels to go over brakes £100. list goes goes on its only really worth a project if like todger said you want a one of cento and you dont mind spending money youll never get back

well yeah but then you would have a sweet sweet Cinquecento on your hands imho it would be so worth it & it's something I would love to do however I have absolutely no mechanical knowledge at all so I guess my only options would be

1: to learn how to do it myself and do it that way ; is it possible to learn?

2: buy one that's already been done

3: get someone to do it for me

of course its possible to learn. mechanics is actually quite easy once you have a grasp of some simple things. anyone can pull something apart and put it back together its just making it all work well together thats the key. but trust me everything in mechanics is easy to do you just have to take time with things you dont understand as well. e.g i dont really like electrics but if i take my time i can do it easy

May as well stick a 1.4 in and have your value out of the VED (anything up to 1.5 for the same price).

Can you have the CODE 2 ECUs fiddled with to ingore the lack of the proper key or would you need a megasquirt or other, or could you run a 1.4 16v off a remapped 1.2 16v (Punto 85) ECU?

thanks guys:D:D stilo 1.4 or grande punto 1.4 it is thanks agen:) much appreciated:)
i fast cento :) i like my sleepers :) i had a fez xr2i with a re turbo engine in it :) i like my "surprisingly quicker than it looks" cars hehe :)

Ummmm I thought the only visual difference between an XR2i and an RS Turbo was the badge on the boot :) Same bumpers with quad foglights, etc otherwise?

RS Turbo engine in a Ka is "surprisingly quicker than it looks" :D

your most likely right bluedan:) but when you have got xr2i badges on the bootlid and on the sides its a nice little sleeper for the little boy racers lol.
RS Turbo in a ka!!!! that would be awesome!!!:D
