I found this old giannini grand prix in the back of an impound lot. I would like to restore the engine as the rest of the car is unsalvagable. How would I go about getting the parts for this engine? Here are a couple of pics to show what it is and what all it might need.

It's rusted to the point that it would snap in half if it wasn't sunk into the ground so far. I picked up the drivers door and poured about a pound of rust on the ground. It may be restorable, but it would take a lot of welding and fabricating.

Hi,
I'm usually round the X1/9 forum, but found you post while looking for some info on the Giannini.
Regarding the engine, I usually start by checking the number under the exhaust manifold. It looks to me like a 100GB, but could be wrong. Take a picture with your cell phone of the numbers engraved on the block. If it is a 100G, it's a standard engine from a FIAT 850 (regular, special, cabrio or coupé)
