Hi All
I have a 115 Fiat Multipla 2002 and yesterday it started to miss and sounded a bit rattley. This morning it refused to start at first but when it did start it sounded aweful:mad:, Rattling and very smokey. The smoke was gray / whitish and after a few mins the rattle sound died off. It was still missing slightly and smokey on reving. A freind and I suspect maybe a injector problem. If so any idea how easy to change them and if you think this is the problem any way of checking it? many thanks Tim

Injectors are reasonably easy to get to, secured by a Y clamp under the induction manifold. Can't remember if you have to remove the induction manifold to replace.
If the misfire/smoking is constant, you can find out if it's an injector fault by pulling the electrical connector off each injector in turn, if the problem gets noticeably worse - that injector is probably working, if you pull a connector off and the problem remains - that's the faulty injector.
I wouldn't rule out an open EGR valve if the injectors seem ok.
