Hi I m a first time owner of a fiat ducato motorhome! I bought a fiat ducato fox on a m reg, was told the engine and gearbox were very good! To be on the safe side I had Cambelt replaced waterpump etc! 150 miles later broke down and have been told the crankshaft has gone! New engine all very distressing as I paid 8500! Question is what's the next step? Can not find a replacement engine for love no money! I ve since been in discussion with what seems to be a genuine guy and I ve been told the thing to do is replace engine and gearbox for the 2.8 engine, is this possible? I should say mine was the 1.9 non turbo engine. Any suggestions help would be very much appreciated as I'm genuinely gutted as the times i used I thoroughly enjoyed.

Hi,
You really should find out and post the correct details of the vehicle .
Correct engine size , date of first registration, details from the vehicle id plate. Photos of engine bay.
Lots of people on this friendly forum would like to help but need some thing to go on.
