Had a bit of a mare.... Came home today to find my engine oil cap was missing. I topped up the oil about a week ago, so has potentially done a 150-200 miles without the oil cap on, absolute mess !
Firstly does anyone know where I can get a replacemant cap ? It's a 13 plate doblo 1.3 multi jet.
Secondly, how should I go about cleaning the engine. I've got the majority of the surface oil off with blue roll, I may look into getting it professionally cleaned, so if anyone could recommend a company in the South west of England, UK that would be helpful! However it's got a leak in the sump which is being repaired end of this month, so will look at getting it cleaned after.
Lastly is there anything to look out for since driving the van with the cap off ? There still seems to be a bit of oil on the dip stick (just below minimum), indicating that it hasn't been running dry.
