My cars fitted with a 650 unit, can anyone tell me where I can find the engine no please?
Normally,the engine number is very clear, as is the engine type---in your case, if it IS a "652cc. Mk2 126" engine it should have "126A1 000" on the top line and then the actual number below it. At a (fairly safe) guess, I would suspect your engine is NOT an original engine out of a 126, but an engine that has been built up using a 'pattern' engine crankcase---these do NOT have an engine number on themI'm updating v5 is it worth putting on fiat 126?

Ther car was restored in 2015 and largely stored since then, would you suspect the engine and syncro gearbox were purchased refurbed off the shelf from someone like Ricambo. Failing that, you could try registering using what you can see.
In any case, I can see a definite 8, a possible 1 and a possible 2.
True...I thought that was just serious corrosion pitting, but you're spot-on with that.Scrub that paint off and it should be clear to see.
