Hey there!
I've been doing the cylinder head of my cinq now for the past 3 weekends ... slow I know, but I do like to make sure everything is as properly done as possible!
But now I have a problem! No spark it seems.
I have made a point of not fiddling with and wires or tubes, the inlet manifold stayed in the engine bay when the head was out. I briefly started the engine last week just long enough to make sure it fired (after oiling everything as I was going) and then turned it off (so maybe 0.5 sec running).
Now today all I have done is put the air cleaner back on and the timing side covers. Before starting the engine I turned her over for a bit with the spark plugs out to get the oil around the engine (and took the wires going to the coils out so as not to have all that lovely high tension electric earthing over the engine bay - not sure I needed to, though seemed like a good precaution).
Now I then took all the tools away, then went to strt the car to move her out the garage. And now no spark!
Did I anger the ECU by pulling those coil leads out?
All the fuses are fine, and the engine turnes over great. I did pull the battery off for a bit last week to get some room though. (I dont think there is a smell of petrol out the exhaust, though I cant smell anything atm)
Any ides guys?
Jon
