My daughter's 2008 1.4 Sport threw up messages about hill start etc, EML light came on and car felt odd (daughter's words).
This evening I started it, the EML is on and there is a slight misfire/ engine vibration.
There was a P0120 code (throttle position sensor) and thinking back, this appeared and I cancelled it a few weeks ago. I cleared the code but the misfire remains.
I suspect I have two different faults (ie TP sensor and ignition / fuel system fault) and because the EML is still off, the TP sensor is intermittent.
Is the simplest thing to buy a new sensor and fix by substitution?
Regarding the misfire, the only value on the OBD reader that showed any difference between cylinders was linked to knock sensor voltage (cyl 3 was much higher than others). Any idea what this could be?
