Technical engine light on

i have a ducato 2.2 multijet 100hp year 2009. after disconnecting the battery to change starter motor my engine light came on and stays on. The motorhome runs and drives perfect. i have been to a garage for a scan. they said it had a lot of codes but cleared them off. took it for a road test light still on but drove perfect. rescanned and codes came back. they suggested sending ecu away for fault finding, but cannot find a company to do this. anybody got any suggestions to solve the problem.

It might have been more useful if they had given you the error code numbers etc.
Also unless a good quality diagnostic tool like Snap On or a genuine Fiat tool, it may be an idea to have someone check it out with MES or similar.as that is specifically Fiat diagnostic, plus extra features.
