Go on - give us a clue
Im guessing its a Fiat Ducato but what model, what age, and which light is coming on?
Hi, thanks for responding, ours is Jayco Conquest motorhome,2016 this issue has been ongoing for sometime, warning light comes on as soon as you turn the engine on,on screen display says "check engine" an orange light gets shown display on dash

I got the same symptoms caused by a faulty soot sensor. But there are hundreds of other things it could be. Including over a hundred other sensors. You need a good fault code reader to read the fault codes. Or take it to a diagnostics specialist and get them to read it.

Which engine size ?
Which power output?

Did you tell garage the vehicle has a fault and ask them to look into it as well as service?

Have done numerous times, they just delete the error code. But always returns eventually. We are a 4hr drive from service center.

Thats exactly what happened with my faulty soot sensor. But I am not suggesting you replace that as there are so many other things that could cause the same thing. I had a cheap chinese code reader that failed to detect it. But the even cheaper (free) google car scanner app found it for me. You have to wait till the light comes on again then scan it. Then you need a wireless dongle to plug into the OBD port (cost about £20) and something like a recent chromebook or smartphone to read it.
My understanding is that the best scanner for Fiat thats available to us is Multiecuscan, or AlfaOBD - but its more complicated, more expensive, and you probably won't need it.
But you are going to need a scanner of some sort to find the fault.

What is the error code?
Without knowing the error code we are all clueless and anything is simply guessing.
Can you ring the service centre and find out? Hopefully they have a record.
