Disconnect your low tension coil lead!
Take the spark plugs out, lightly push a rag into each hole and turn over until petrol has gone (The rags are to stop fuel spurtin out all over the place.
You will probably need to drain and refill your oil as the petrol will have slipped down the bore into the oil and rendered it ineffective.
There are other methods, but short of stripping the head down, this is the least labour intensive...
