hi all
My engine management light came on this morning and was told after replacing coil pack it must be the ecu thats gone.:mad: i need to find out the exact number of the ecu part so i can order 1 used thats been virginised as they call them as they are £300 new :bang: any help would be apreciated

Its on a sticker underneath the ECU, ending in M2 or M3
Get a refurbished one? (y)

:) thanks but i was hoping someone would know the number as i havent removed the old one nor will be, just after buying a used one then getting a mechanic i know to fit it,need the exact number also (y)

Nobody will know though, it will need to be taken off to have a look at.

Will take you no more than 2 minutes to take it off, get the number and refit (y)

when you say used do you mean refurb'd or from a scrappy?

If you got it from a scrapyard id go back and get the fuseboxs, locks, petrol cap... pretty much everything to do with a computer or a key otherwise it wont work (y)
 
Had the mechanic look at it and he changed the coil pack which didnt help and with the symptoms he says must be the ecu which according to him is a common problem
