Hi all,
I'm new to 500's and I'm restoring a 1971 500 F. I'm working through the reasons why the car won't start (it turns over but doesn't fire). I can't seem to find any kind of earth strap and wondered if anyone could share pics of where it should be?

From what I've read it bolts to the dynamo, but where on the body should it go? I've also seen people mount it to the engine mount. Pics would be good.

Cheers all!!

Here is mine. Attached to the lower bolt on the crossmember. Bottom left, you can just make out the strap.

I have a 1972 500L with a 652cc "126" engine installed---my earth strap goes from one of the 8mm studs (13mm nut size) for the diff-bearing mount (that the drive-shaft boot retainer bolts onto) to one of the bolts that holds the gearbox cross-member to the body. It is a braided copper strap.
