The engine bays are identical on ALL the bravos, the HGT just has longer lower suspension arms and wider wings.

Same bonnet for all.

Yeh I knew Ribzz had just done a 2.0 20V conversion but for some reason or another I thought he had obtained a HGT to do it with! Oh well, thats great news then...watch this space

Tom do you know what effect this would have on doing this conversion if any?

Well, if you got the money, you can drop anything it, the biggest problem is the places where the engine "sits" on, these have to be adjusted. But, take the 20VT and tune that up. A guy from Denmark has 420BPH (20VT engine) in his bravo (was a 1.6).
So, if you got the money, you can do anything

Cheaper and easier to buy an HGT and probably easier to insure.

You've gotta swap so much from the fuel tank to the front suspension, wings, brakes, wiring loom, rad....

ah right fair enough cheers, jus that theres a hgt at my local scrappy going for 500 quid, its totally battered every piece of metal on the exterior is nakered apart from boot, and bonnet. engine is fine so is the interior.

yep but you will have to change all the suspension breaks ecu front wings fuel tank pump and hoses hgt rad and fan all the cooling system pipe work as it is different in the 1.4 the list goes on and on and on just buy a hgt!

just take the body off the 1.4 and put it on the smashed hgt!

the 20vt isnt in yet guys i'm still wating on a set of cams to turn up but other than that the 20vt is rebuilt

I'm off to a car show in belgium at the weekend and all been well as soon as i come back the cams will have arrived and i can start fitting the engine, reckon its a long weekends woth of work plus a few week nights worth of fiddeling on wiring and suspension, as far as i am aware no ones fit a 20vt in to a 16v engine,

as far as tuning the 20vt goes they are really really tunable engines

people are getting 0ver 350 bhp from a chip, apexi boost controller, uprated FM intercooler and a bigger turbo!!!!!

cams, port polish, GT40 roller beargin turbo, stand aloan ECU, bigger injectors, uprated fuel pump your looking £450+ bhp

all figures are proven too!

am really looking forward to scaring the fuk out of some skylines and Evos this summer haha

all if you look on the fiat forum they have a guide to engiones mods = this sort of power

they alo have a top 20 BHP guide with the coupes figures plus the engine mods!

i think the mailing thing is spending the cash on a big roller bearing turbo

what turbo were you runnnin on yours? it was a hybrid wasnt it?
