Engine..., clutch..., transmission problem?

Hello, I own a fiat brava 1.6 16v (107.000km)and recently it has been working strangely.
It feels like if it was a car with automatic transmission (althought it is not); once I press the accelerator, revs go to 5000 and the car barely accelerates. This happens on all shifts and I am not quite sure of what is going on, I thought it could be some engine problem, or cluth or transmission... any idea on what could be happening here?

If you mean when in gear and when you press the throtle the revs go up to 5000rpm then its the clutch slipping - new clutch needed

wow!! any idea on the cost of it?

Around 180 quid or 250 euro - that icludes a new clutch set and install
